TRIPP'S BARN ON THE POND & EVENT GROUNDS
Located in Saugerties, New York, the rural estate is owned by a local graphic designer and artist. Terrain collaborated closely with the owner to create a series of features and events within the stunning, 4 Acre Catskill landscape which is used as a wedding, event and rental property. Working quickly and often onsite, aided the artist owner in realizing his vision for the property.
Terrain created a circuit of moments within the landscape to be used and taken in by visitors to the property. Terrain restored the pond landscape and through it constructed a boardwalk path and great pond side hearth to bring visitors to the water. Additionally, Terrain designed an arrival courtyard connected to the restored barn, a series of field walls, over-sized and unexpected furniture, a wildflower meadow, a forest loop, fernery, and restored under story plantings to nestle the property into its landscape.
